Jesus said in Mark 10:14, "But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and
said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of
such is the kingdom of God."
More than 80% of Christians trust Christ as their Savior between the ages of 4 and
14. Before the world can shape our children into its mold, we at Borderland seek to
lay the firm foundation of Jesus Christ and to inspire a love for the Word of God in
their hearts. We do this through weekly Bible study, mission trips, outings, Vacation
Bible School, camps and retreats.
In our services, the children worship, pray, give, and go.
In Matthew 18:5, Jesus said, "And whoso shall receive one such little child in my
name receiveth me."
Children are precious not only because of their zest for life and the purity of their faith
but also for the lasting legacy and the abundance of fruit that flows from a life that is
surrendered to Christ at an early age. At Borderland we are committed to reaching
the next generation for Christ.
On Sunday mornings we offer Calvary Kids for age 2 through 5th Grade.
On Sunday's, spiritual messages are presented in a way that children like to learn.
The proliferation of television, video games, and other media has had a dramatic
impact on the way children learn. Even in households where parents are
discriminating in what they allow their children to watch, young audiences are still
influenced by what why see on videos, DVDs, broadcasts, and cable TV.
On Wednesday nights we offer Calvary Kids for age 4 through 5th Grade and
Genesis for grades 6th through 8th.
Wednesday nights serves as the center piece of our ministry to children, because it
is the foundation of our teaching ministry. We have graded classes where a child
can build relationships and friendships that will last for eternity. although we use a
traditional curriculum, our focus is the Bible. Children are divided up by grade.
